Annabel Goldie at SECAnnabel Goldie MSP hears about the work of the Scottish Epilepsy Centre. Annabel met with the specialist team and patients and showed her support for the specialist epilepsy services provided by the Centre.

After her visit Annabel commented: “I was delighted to visit the Quarriers Scottish Epilepsy Centre, the Centre provides the only residential assessment and treatment centre in Scotland for adults with epilepsy. I applaud the Centre’s work to raise awareness of epilepsy through networking and through the Quarriers inclusion team. The Centre’s commitment to promote positively the welfare and rights of people with epilepsy in a person centred manner is a highly commendable objective which I am very pleased to support. The Centre assists clients with personal development helping with access to employment, further education and leisure activities, the centre also encourages clients to maintain and develop relationships and to enhance independence and confidence. It was plain to see the commitment and dedication from the staff and volunteers, the caring and supportive environment which staff have created and the very positive effect on the clients.”
